There is an amazing group of people who are making a documentary of Guatemala. The documentary is going to explain some of Guatemala's culture and history, showing the needs of the country and current ministry opportunities. Several of the images you see in this video are of places we will serve on the Gateway trip.
I can't watch the video without getting choked up! If you are wondering what all of the pieces of dolls are... let me explain. Potter's House is the dump ministry that we'll visit for one day. One of their projects is to give small business loans to people in the dump communities. One loan was granted to a woman who buys pieces of dolls from the scavengers. This woman then creates new dolls from the pieces and sells them to make a living. Just one example of how the ministry of Potter's House is helping people rise above the challenge to survive!
