It's officially time to start signing up and planning for the 2010 trip to Guatemala! The tentative dates are October 30-November 6 (may change by one day on either side based on airfare, but we will leave one weekend and return the following).
Trip cost is again $1600, with a $400 scholarship available for Gateway members if this is your first mission trip. Trip costs includes approximately $700 for airfare, $500 for construction and projects and the remainder of the cost covering food, lodging and transportation in country.
We will again be working with Kairos Christian School in Ciudad Vieja. We will continue construction as their school grows. We will work with the students (and hopefully this year the families a bit!). We also hope to spend a day at Hermano Pedro (special needs hopsital in Antigua) and at a local orphanage.
If you can't go on the trip, but would still like to be involved, we are also hosting a fundraiser for Kairos here in Kansas City on Friday, November 19. Please join us for a dinner and silent auction benefitting the school and students!
